The DW Hammer Team recently completed a series of projects at the iconic Willis Tower building in Chicago. We worked alongside ESD and the Building Management Team to design and install the infrastructure needed for network tenants to relocate from the 102nd floor to the 100th floor.
DW Hammer installed 10 ceiling mounted (8-ton AC units and 10 Unit Heaters) which included running a secondary chilled water looped system throughout the space. The AC units are controlled by the BAS system via pumps and frequency drives.
Over 90-tons of cooling was added with all new electrical infrastructure, a pre-action system, a filtration system for condenser water, fire alarms, plumbing, new lighting, security and grounding systems. Additionally, the team brought a 2500-AMP Service from the 104th floor ComEd Vault to a new 100th floor base-building electrical room including all new custom-built distribution gear.
